BANGLADESH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION (UK)

"from grassroots to professional talent"

Sporting Legends

The Sporting Bengal Vets team was set up in 2011 to provide opportunity for ex-Sporting Bengal first team players from the original squad of 1996 and subsequent years to get together again, stay involved in the game and play competitive football again.

Since retiring many had stopped playing and were losing touch with each other.  This was a god way of staying fit and socailising as before.

The Vets team will play local, regional and national tournaments and also compete in the London FA Vets Cup every year.

In 2011, they played in the London FA Vets Saturday Cup and lost in the quarter finals to the eventual winners.

In 2012, they are playing the Saturday Cup and  have progressed to the second round after beating London Bari 6-0.

They have also won the national  Robin Hood Cup held in Nottingham in the summer of 2012.
